Funding for physio and exercise physiology at home

Alera Healthcare helps families and coordinators understand how physiotherapy and exercise physiology can sit within Support at Home, DVA and private payment arrangements. We are an associated provider, not a registered Support at Home provider. A registered provider holds the participant's funding and care plan; we deliver clinical physio and EP when arranged. Confirm your situation on a 15-minute call. That call is planning only, not a treatment session.

Three simple steps

01

Registered provider holds funding

Under Support at Home, a registered provider holds the participant's funding and care plan. That organisation remains accountable for programme compliance.

02

Alera Healthcare delivers Physio and EP

Alera Healthcare works as an associated provider. We deliver physiotherapy and exercise physiology on behalf of the registered provider, with clear clinical notes and coordination.

03

Same physio wherever possible

The same physio returns wherever possible. Families and coordinators keep a single point of contact while paperwork stays with the registered provider.

01

Support at Home physio

Under the Aged Care Act 2024, Support at Home funding is held by a registered provider. Alera Healthcare works as an associated provider, delivering physiotherapy and exercise physiology on behalf of those registered providers.

We coordinate directly with your registered provider so clinical care and paperwork stay accurate.

Physiotherapy is typically treated as a clinical support under the programme. Ask your registered provider about participant contributions for your specific plan.

02

DVA

Eligible veterans and war widows may access allied health under DVA arrangements. We discuss entitlement and referral requirements during a quick 15-minute call so expectations stay clear before care begins. Card rules are not published here. See DVA home physio and exercise physiology.

03

Private payment

Privately funded clients are welcome. Clients or family can enquire online or call 040 55 77 555, and no GP referral is needed. Fees are confirmed on your 15-minute call rather than published as fixed packages, and Alera provides an itemised invoice for every visit. How a private home visit is arranged is set out on private physio at home. Plain-English notes are in what private home physio costs.

Funding FAQs

Does Support at Home cover physiotherapy with Alera Healthcare?
Support at Home funding is held by a registered provider. Alera Healthcare works as an associated provider and can deliver physio at home on behalf of that registered provider when arranged. Ask your registered provider about contributions for your specific plan. We can help coordinate on a 15-minute call.
Are you a registered or associated Support at Home provider?
Associated. Alera Healthcare is not a registered Support at Home provider. Registered providers hold funding and care plans; we deliver physiotherapy and in-home exercise physiology as an associated clinical provider.
Can DVA cover physio or exercise physiology at home?
Eligible veterans and war widows may access allied health under DVA arrangements. We discuss entitlement and referral requirements on a 15-minute call so expectations are clear before care begins. See DVA home physio and EP. We do not publish card rules.
Can I pay privately for home physio or EP?
Yes. Clients or family can enquire online or call 040 55 77 555, with no GP referral needed. Fees are confirmed on your 15-minute call, and Alera provides an itemised invoice for every visit. Read what private home physio costs.
I already have a registered Support at Home provider. Can I still use Alera?
Often yes, when your registered provider arranges associated clinical services. We coordinate with them so paperwork stays with the registered provider. Confirm on a 15-minute call.
Who else can book, besides Support at Home clients?
Private-paying clients and families can enquire directly, and we also see DVA clients where eligible. Under Support at Home we work as an associated provider alongside the registered provider who holds the funding.
